From Porongurup to the Mornington Peninsula, Riesling to Shiraz, Australia’s incredibly diverse landscapes and regions produce an amazing range of varietals and styles. We are extremely proud of our Australian portfolio and are pleased to be able to offer you an example of each of the country’s unique styles.
We have recently added two wines from Larry Cherubino’s exciting ‘Laissez Faire’ range, a Pinot Noir and a Syrah. ‘Leave alone’ says it all with these wines, as Larry lets the grapes do the talking to create wines that really showcase the region’s terrior.
From South Australia, we have introduced one new wine from Berton Vineyard. The ‘Gundagai’ Shiraz is rich and intense, and well-worth its place in Matthew Jukes’ 100 Best Australian Wines.
One landmark introduction we have made in recent years is that of Jim Barry Wines. Founded in 1959, the family-owned producer is famed around the world for ‘The Armagh’and its portfolio of stand-out wines, including Australia’s first Assyrtiko, planted in 2012 at the producer’s Lodge Hill Vineyard with cuttings from the island of Santorini.
We believe we have an Australian portfolio that demonstrates the regional diversity of the country, showcasing the distinct climates, soils and terroirs.
